Brand New Website 2026!

June 2026

After 12 years of using Weebly.com (since 2014!), I have now upgraded my site to this new platform, thanks to my website designer and developer/Lapunti Arnis de Abanico Guro, Alvin Peñaflor!

There were really no concrete plans on my part in developing a new website because I didn’t know how or where to begin. This only started during the 2025 Lapunti Christmas Party at the UP Diliman Campus when Sir Alvin offered to look at my current website because “nasasayangan siya sa potential,” but not knowing the full scope. He must’ve thought my old website only had a few pages. Little did he know that it included several pages plus 106 blog posts! “Blaming it on a few shots of whiskey I had during the xmas party,” he says.

What truly sold me into embarking on this collaboration was his thorough and thoughtful analysis of the old website and the proposed plans of its restructuring. Upon reading his website analysis and strategic recommendations, I realized I found a person with both "an engineer and an artist’s mind,” who also understands my career and what I’m trying to achieve. So at a “family rate” as a “Lapunti sister,” onward we went!

As I walked on the journey, I continued to find allies. In April 2026, I discovered that Soleil Badenhop, the partner of one of my cousins, had formed her own branding company called Extra Sauce Lab. They were open to small businesses and entrepreneurs whom they can offer their services free of charge. Fed up with the enrollment turn out of my classes, I reached out to Soleil for a possible collaboration. Together with Soleil, Kitty, Benci, and Yani of Extra Sauce Lab, in conjunction with the support of Robert Bradly (one of my staunchest cheerleaders) and Jerom Canlas (my beloved partner), we have rebranded @empoweringthefilipinoartist into “Reina Artis.” Finally, once only an extra IG account to market my workshops is now its own studio. “Reina Artis” houses all of the teaching and community work I can offer and then some. In addition to Extra Sauce Lab, Samuel Loyola – an IP Lawyer (former Advanced Acting Student at Star Magic) and his colleagues at Baranda & Associates – helped me ensure that “Reina Artis” is clean and safe for trademark registration.

So on we go. 2026 has birthed a new chapter with new allies, and I am excited to see this legacy through with my most trusted friends and collaborators.

I am intent on growing this community. If you care about reaching the highest potential of your craft through humane practices, then I hope you consider joining us.

Step into my world and I hope you become part of the family.

With warmth and love,

Regina De Vera
